A free monthly budget spreadsheet built on zero-based budgeting: give every amount of income a job. List your income and spending categories with a planned amount, and the Budget tab shows what is left to plan until it reaches zero.
Add one row to the Spending log each time money comes in or goes out. Pick any month to see planned against actual for every category, with what is left and how much you have used. The Year tab shows every category across all twelve months, the monthly average and the plan for the year.
