Actionable Metric

An actionable metric is a measure that, when it changes, points clearly at a specific action a team can take in response.

Example

"First response time by team member" is actionable, since a slow number points directly at who needs support; "total messages sent" mostly doesn't suggest any specific next step.

Why it matters

A dashboard built from actionable metrics naturally stays relevant, since every number has a clear reason to be checked regularly.

Limits and cautions

Some genuinely important metrics, like overall revenue, aren't directly actionable on their own; they still matter alongside the metrics that are.

Relevance to Stelaah

Stelaah's reporting can be built around metrics broken down to the level where a specific response is actually possible.
