Activation Rate

Activation rate is the share of new clients or users who complete the specific early action shown to predict a lasting relationship.

Example

A business finds that clients who complete their first project within 30 days rarely churn; the share of new clients who hit that mark is the activation rate.

Why it matters

Focusing onboarding effort on the one action that predicts retention is more effective than treating every early interaction as equally important.

Limits and cautions

The predictive action needs to be identified from real historical data, not assumed. The wrong milestone gives a false sense of progress.

Relevance to Stelaah

Stelaah's client onboarding and project records can track whether the key early milestone was reached, where that data is defined and tracked.

This connection describes product intent, not a guarantee that every plan or workflow supports every related capability.
