Daily Standup
A daily standup is a short, recurring check-in where a team briefly shares progress and blockers, kept intentionally brief.
Example
Each team member gives a 30-second update on yesterday's progress, today's plan, and anything blocking them, and the whole meeting wraps in under ten minutes.
Why it matters
A brief daily surface of blockers catches something stuck early, rather than discovering it only at the end of the week.
Limits and cautions
A standup that turns into a full status meeting or problem-solving session defeats its purpose and becomes a daily time cost.
