Feature Creep
Feature creep is the gradual, often unnoticed expansion of a product's feature set beyond its original, focused intent.
Example
A product roadmap review revealing several features that individually made sense but collectively contradicted the product's original focus.
Why it matters
Each individual feature addition seems reasonable, but the cumulative effect is often a more complex, harder-to-use product than originally intended.
Limits and cautions
More features do not always mean more value. Added complexity carries a real cost to usability and maintenance that has to be weighed against each addition's benefit.
Relevance to Stelaah
Stelaah's product decisions weigh added complexity against genuine user need before shipping a new capability.
This connection describes product intent, not a guarantee that every plan or workflow supports every related capability.
