"Fixed ticket #4521" means nothing to a client; "resolved the checkout delay affecting mobile users" tells them what actually changed and why it mattered. Translate each entry into what the client actually experiences, not the internal task description.
Make small changes visible too, not just the milestones
A changelog that only records major milestones misses the steady accumulation of smaller improvements that add up to real value over time. Include the smaller entries too, even briefly, so the full picture of ongoing work is visible.
