Expansion Revenue
Expansion revenue is additional revenue from an existing client, through an upsell, cross-sell, or increased scope, rather than from a new client.
Example
A client who originally signed on for one service line adds a second one six months later; that added revenue is expansion, not new-client revenue.
Why it matters
Growing revenue from clients who already trust the business is typically cheaper than acquiring a new client from scratch.
Limits and cautions
Pushing expansion too aggressively on a client who isn't ready can strain the relationship rather than strengthen it.
Relevance to Stelaah
Stelaah's client and invoice records can distinguish expansion revenue from new business where that categorization is tracked.
This connection describes product intent, not a guarantee that every plan or workflow supports every related capability.
