Handover Note

A handover note is a written summary of the current state, open items, and context a person leaves behind when responsibility for something transfers.

Example

Before going on leave, a project owner writes a short note covering what's in progress, what's blocked, and who to contact for each open item.

Why it matters

A written handover means the person picking up the work doesn't have to reconstruct context from scratch or interrupt someone who's now unavailable.

Limits and cautions

A handover note written at the last minute, under time pressure, tends to miss exactly the details that matter most.

Relevance to Stelaah

Stelaah's notes and project records can hold a handover note directly attached to the work it describes, where it stays with the project.

This connection describes product intent, not a guarantee that every plan or workflow supports every related capability.
